Why do we have new processes and templates?
Jira is our issue and project tracking software that allows us to communicate as cross-functional teams to deliver amazing experiences for our clients. As the company grows, we need to provide documentation and guidance on how to use this platform to manage projects appropriately and successfully.
What is the new AMS Core Team template?
The AMS Core Team template is a pre-built Excel spreadsheet that, with little edits, can be uploaded to Jira. Once uploaded, you have 80+ Jira issues created automatically for you in a Kanban Board! (What a time saver!)
What if I have a Jira Kanban Board for my project already?
No worries! This is required for new, managed service projects that include technical and advisory work – all employees must use this template for new projects by July 1, 2022. You do not need to redo what you already have created for projects (unless you want to).
What is the new TS QSIP process?
The new QSIP process includes detailed information on how to manage and setup your Jira cards for project success. This includes how to create a card, what task details to include, and how to maintain the project. Update your QSIP cards to ensure you are following the proper details outlined in the process documentation.
Help! I have questions.
We are here to help. Once you review the below documentation, you are welcome to attend an optional office hours meeting with Jira Chapter members this week and next week to answer your questions. We also have a new Slack channel to answer your questions! Search for it in the Channels section of Slack. #jira-questions
